The 10 Wedding “Rules” to Break in St Lucia

Wedding Photography St Lucia Wedding Photographer by Molly Guy It’s 2016 and your mama’s Wedding Photography is officially a thing of the past. I’m the first to condone any ritual involving love, but some of the wedding traditions out there these days are practically voodoo. Closing your eyes and tossing flowers to the crowd in hopes your college roommate cat lady will catch it? The robotic processional walk to “Pachelbel’s Canon”? The rose petals strewn across the duvet enticing you to slither upon it in slinky lingerie? Methinks not. At its core, a wedding is a raw, essential celebration of true love. Anything that detracts from that . . . well, it detracts from that. Plus, every good Stone Fox knows that rules are meant to be broken. Toss your 10-foot veil to the wind, set fire to the monogrammed matchbook party favors, and stroll down the road to wedded bliss with reckless abandon. Be the bride who says, “I did it my way.” Here, 10 tips for breaking the mold. Say “I don’t” to:                                                                                              Photographed by Arthur Elgort, Vogue, June 2009 Rings Historically, they were there to let the world know you were the property of your big strong husband, […]

RAF Officer, Hairstylist have their wedding at Capella in St. Lucia

Corporal Scott Kinnon offered a surprising disclosure to affordable Wedding Photographer in St Lucia, Bill Mortley just hours after his wedding in St Lucia. “As of yet, I haven’t proposed!” laughed the 17-year veteran of the Royal Air Force, along with his wife, Claire. The pair had discussed marriage while Scott was on a four-month assignment and then “understood” it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the St. Lucia property of one of Claire’s clients, and marry here. That statement typifies the refreshingly close relationship Kinnon, 35, enjoys with his bride, also 35, a talented hairstylist, who has likewise practiced her craft for 17 years. To show her style for the ceremony, Claire wore her hair in a chignon, “held” in place by off-white and purple island blooms. Their courtship eventually led them to the Capella Resort and Marina in Marigot Bay, where they celebrated with Claire’s parents in an intimate affair. “We chose the Marina at Capella because I didn’t want the beach. Everyone wants to marry on the shore, but to us, the Marina was perfect.” The couple also made time to see the island, and Scott enjoyed time with William, Claire’s father. Prior to the wedding, […]
