ABOUT CAPTURING THE MOMENT

I am Bill Mortley, a premiere wedding and lifestyle photographer based in St. Lucia in the Caribbean. I was born in St Lucia but became an American Citizen and lived in New York for some 14 years.

I held the Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa photography contract from inception and for 12 years thereafter, shooting about 3 weddings per day Monday to Friday. I was also engaged with the previous Cunard La Toc Resort for about 5 years before Sandals purchased the property.

I commit to portraying every wedding assignment with the utmost care, professionalism, and expertise, and credits their clients’ amazing individual touches and relationships for each new depth of my work. My current portfolio includes weddings from St. Lucia where I am presently based, the UK., as well as from Dominica and Trinidad & Tobago.

I happily travel for destination wedding photography as well and am thrilled to photograph your wedding day wherever you may be saying ‘I do’. My sincere, signature style is blended from each of our unique backgrounds behind the camera. It’s tough for me to put a finger on that style – call it photojournalism, call it editorial – I like to call it wedding photography, and I am always prepared to tell a story as it unfolds. I stay in the moment and compose carefully amidst the scenes; I also step up to the roles of organizing the portrait aspects of the day as needed. My aim is to approach each wedding day unobtrusively and produce a genuine, diverse set of photographs that allows my clients to re-live the day in an instant.
